For the 2023 holiday season, Zenpack collaborated with Domenico Winery in Lodi, California, to produce a custom cabernet sauvignon as a client gift. The wine bottle was conceived as a design canvas—allowing Zenpack to showcase its expertise in packaging and visual storytelling through a series of one-of-a-kind, artisanal labels.

Rooted in Zenpack’s commitment to sustainability, the project emphasized working with existing resources rather than introducing new materials. Vintage art books sourced from a local used bookstore were repurposed as label substrates, selected for their naturally aged, semi-coated paper and irreplaceable texture. Pages from XX Century, Drawings and Watercolors by R. Cogniat provided a foundation where material history became an integral part of the design.

Original artwork was combined with a layered typographic system and printed using single-color UV techniques to maintain clarity and contrast. Oversized, die-cut labels extend beyond the bottle’s shoulder and gather organically around the neck, reinforcing the concept of individuality. Hand-applied and uniquely composed, the final collection celebrates craft, sustainability, and Zenpack’s first-ever cabernet sauvignon.
